Corrections Policy
Siren News is committed to accuracy. We read primary sources, verify facts before publishing, and take errors seriously. When we get something wrong, we fix it promptly and say so plainly.
How we handle corrections
When a factual error is confirmed, we correct it as quickly as possible. Corrections are noted inline on the affected article so readers who find the piece later see the accurate version. We do not silently scrub errors.
For minor corrections (spelling, grammar, broken links) we fix silently. For factual corrections, we note what changed and when at the bottom of the article.
What counts as a correction
A correction means a fact we reported was wrong and we have now verified the accurate information. Clarifications (where the original was not wrong but could be read more clearly) are handled similarly but labeled as clarifications.
Reporting an error
If you believe we have made a factual error, please tell us. Include the article URL, the specific claim you believe is wrong, and a source or evidence for the correction. We review every report and respond where we can.
